PRPC Quiet Campground Policy

campsite

Our campground is designed to be both family and forest-friendly. This is not a “party” campground. Consideration of others is required at all times. These facilities are provided for your enjoyment. If you observe anyone breaking any of the camp rules or destroying the facilities in any way, please notify personnel at the campground office immediately. PRPC management reserves the right to evict anyone from the premises for violating any of the rules listed below, for using foul language or engaging in disruptive behavior.

FOUL LANGUAGE, FIREWORKS, EXPLOSIVES, FIREARMS AND PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CAMPGROUND.

CAMPER & VISITOR REGISTRATION:

All campers and visitors must register before entering the campground. Only registered vehicles are permitted to park at the campsites. Visitors must park in the front parking lot and leave the campground by 9:00 PM. Guests, whether campers or visitors, are not allowed to enter the campground after 10:00 PM.

QUIET HOURS:

Be considerate of your neighboring campers. QUIET HOURS ARE 24-HOURS-A-DAY. The neighbor-friendly rule here is that noise, whether electronic, human or otherwise, should be kept at a level that doesn't carry out of your campsite. FOUL LANGUAGE OR BLARING MUSIC WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Our rules about noise are strictly enforced so that our guests can enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest.

VEHICLES:

The speed limit is 5 mph. Please watch for children at play. No driving in the campground allowed after 10:00PM. To preserve the tenting areas, vehicles may not be driven into the middle of the campsite. Vehicles should be driven into the site only as far as it is necessary to park off the road.

MINOR CHILDREN:

All children under the age of 18 must be at their campsite by 10:00PM unless accompanied by a parent.

GROUP CAMPING:

PRPC has group sites that can accommodate up to 50 campers. Family sites are limited to 6 people per site. Gatherings of more than 6 people on the family sites are prohibited.

PETS ARE PROHIBITED:

For noise and sanitation reasons, pets are not allowed in the campground.

LITTER:

It is our desire never to see a single piece of litter hit the ground at PRPC. Please deposit all litter, including extinguished cigarette butts, immediately into the litter receptacle at your site. Keep your garbage, glass, aluminum cans, and foil out of the fire rings.

FIREWOOD:

To guard against tree-killing outbreaks of Emerald Ash Borer, Gypsy Moths, Dutch Elm Disease, etc, we do not allow guests to bring firewood in the PRPC Campground. Large bundles of seasoned dry firewood are available at the camp store for $5 per bundle. Campfires are allowed in fire pits only and must be attended to at all times. Large fires are prohibited. Charcoal burners and grills are not allowed on picnic tables.

SAWS, AXES, OR HATCHETS ARE NOT ALLOWED in the campground. Cutting, breaking off or defacing any branch, sapling, shrub or tree, dead or alive, is forbidden. Tent trenching is also prohibited.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES:

PRPC is a hub for forest-friendly campers. This is not a “party” campground. However, discretionary use of alcohol is allowed.

CAMPING CABIN:

This clean and cozy log cabin is furnished with Amish-built log style furnishings: a queen-sized bed, a set of bunk beds, chest of drawers and a night stand. There is no electricity or plumbing in the cabin, so you'll need to bring a flashlight and/or battery-operated lantern. Also, bring sleeping bags or bed linens and your personal items. NO SMOKING, NO GAS LANTERNS, NO COOK STOVES allowed inside cabin.
