Photo Contest - 2007
PRPC’s 1st Annual Photo Contest.
Two categories: Best Paddling/People Photo and Best Nature Photo.
We’ll select a 1st and 2nd Place Winner in each category. Winners will be determined and notified on 11/1/07. No limit to the number of contest submissions per individual or group.
- Each 1st Prize winner gets their choice of $75 cash or a $100 gift certificate toward any of the Pine River Paddlesports Center goods or services.
- Each 2nd Prize winner gets their choice of $50 cash or a $75 gift certificate from PRPC.
Best Paddling/People Photo Tips: Paddling/People photos can be of canoers, kayakers or rafters, having fun on the Pine or Manistee River. Capture your crew taking a lunch break along the way, yucking it up for the camera while standing behind your boat or any part of your trip that incorporates your people, your boats, your journey.
Best Nature Photo Tips: There must be a zillion subjects that you could capture and submit in the Nature Photo Contest. Subject matter can include a screaming red sunset, any of the wildlife that make the river and valley their home, the beautiful flowers, shrubs, & trees along the way, the intriguing geological formations, early morning fog hovering over the river. Share with us your favorite images of natural beauty along these rivers. For this category, the sky is literally the limit.
The only catch is that we want your permission to use your entry photo(s) on PRPC’s website or other advertising media. To comply with privacy laws, please note that any photos you submit to the contest with an identifiable person or persons must be accompanied by the model release form provided below.
