Walker Bridge Canoe Livery on the Pine River

The Pine River's Best Kept Secret

Walker Bridge Livery on the PineThe Pine River's Best Kept Secret.....the Walker Bridge Canoe Livery. Located on the upper Pine and off the beaten path, fewer folks discover this beautiful stretch of river. Paddlers enjoy the characteristic forested riverscape and consistent current with an average depth of 2 feet.

There are several advantages to engaging the Walker Bridge Canoe Livery for your family or group canoe or kayak trip.....

  1. As the only rental on the Pine River that is physically located right on the river's edge, you can choose from a 2, 3, 4, or 5 hour trip that ends up right back at our WBCL office.
  2. You don't have to wait to be picked up by your livery or jump in your cars to return paddles and preservers to your rental office
  3. Because we do not incur the expense of hauling both to and from the river, we rent our craft for less than the other area rentals.

Livery Facilities

We maintain a large riverside picnic area with tables and a fire-pit with grill at our private landing. As many others do, your family, school group, company trip, etc. is welcome to use this area for a picnic and games after your river trip. Complimentary firewood is stacked and ready for your use. And we're happy to put up our volley ball net should your group want to play some volleyball. We do not allow radios to be played or alcohol in the picnic area.

Deep in the Forest

Being located off the beaten path means fewer folks on this gorgeous part of the river....and translates into more wildlife viewing opportunities.....(pssst, don't tell anybody about the active bald eagles nest that is located just an hour upstream of WBCL).....or the assortment of waterfowl, furbearers, deer, etc. you're likely to see along the way.....

Extra Paddle Time

Another unique feature of engaging WBCL is that when you arrive back at our landing, if some of the group haven't had enough paddling, they can continue to paddle for one more hour down to the Lincoln Bridge Public Access Site. At no extra cost. It's a nice contingency that allows you to plan your trip on the conservative side, knowing you have the option of paddling longer if some, or the entire group, choose to do so.
