Pine River Raft Rentals

Pine River Paddlesports Center facilitates rafting trips and raft rentals on the Pine River. The Manistee River flow is generally too slow for rafting .

Rafting Advantages

First, rafts are incredibly stable, which allows families with small kids to experience these incredible rivers without fear of tipping over. And in rafts, because kids can move around a bit, they stay more comfortable and are more entertained, etc.

And rafts keep the family together. It's kind of neat, and stress-free for mom, if everybody is in the same boat with dad. And there's just no prettier sight than three (or four) generations enjoying a leisurely float down the river in the same craft. We're delighted to see the consistent growth of rafting as more and more families discover its value as a "daycation" or one tank trip getaway.

In addition to providing a great experience for families. rafting is a superb team-building activity.  We facilitate trips for all sorts of groups such as: corporate groups, Fortune 500 Companies, Boy & Girl Scouts, Government Agencies, Bible Camps, school field trips, clubs, etc.

Our extensive inventory of rafts include: Two-man, three-man, and four-man rafts (which can hold up to six if there are smaller kids in the mix). We only run commercial rafts, and only the best in the business, from Aire, Hyside, and Star.

By far, the Pine is the best rafting river in lower Michigan. It is in both the Michigan Natural Rivers Program and the United States Wild & Scenic Rivers System. With several access sites, you can plan a trip most any length you desire. The two most popular rafting runs are the 3-hour trip from Dobson to Peterson, and the 4-hour trip from Peterson to Low Bridge, the latter running through the most spirited stretch of the river.

We visited your place this summer and canoed down the Pine. I wanted to let you know that we had a terrific time and that we appreciated your care with us in making sure we were prepared for the trip. It was obvious to us that you pay very good attention to the individuality of the groups that come in seeking a fun day on the river and we thought it was great that you didn't just send us off assuming we knew what we were doing. Your staff was terrific. Your campground was very nice and we are already talking about a trip to come and stay. We are thinking of doing a 2 or 3 day trip next time. I was impressed with the family feel of your place from the first time I visited your website and wanted to reciprocate in thanking you for the fun that our family had.
