PRPC Campground Policy

Our campground is designed to be both family and forest-friendly. This is not a “party” campground. Consideration of others is required at all times. These facilities are provided for your enjoyment. If you observe anyone breaking any of the camp rules or destroying the facilities in any way, please notify personnel at the campground office immediately. PRPC management reserves the right to evict anyone from the premises for violating any of the rules listed below, for using foul language or engaging in disruptive behavior.

FOUL LANGUAGE, FIREWORKS, EXPLOSIVES, FIREARMS AND PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CAMPGROUND.

CAMPER & VISITOR REGISTRATION:

BEFORE entering the campground, all vehicles must stop and register at campground office. No exceptions! If you arrive before the rest of your crew, please do not make the mistake of telephoning others to tell them which campsite you are in so as to lead them to drive into the campground without registering. Anyone driving into the campground before first stopping to register will be removed from the premises.

Like campers, VISITORS MUST REGISTER at the campground office. Visitors must leave the campground by 9:00 PM.

QUIET HOURS:

Be considerate of your neighboring campers. QUIET HOURS ARE 24-HOURS-A-DAY. The neighbor-friendly rule here is that noise, whether electronic, human or otherwise, should be kept at a level that doesn't carry out of your campsite. FOUL LANGUAGE OR BLARING MUSIC WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Our rules about noise are strictly enforced so that our guests can enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest.

VEHICLES:

The speed limit is 5 mph. Please watch for children at play. No driving in the campground allowed after 10:00 PM. To preserve the tenting areas, vehicles may not be driven into the middle of the campsite. Vehicles should be driven into the site only as far as it is necessary to park off the road.

MINOR CHILDREN:

All children under the age of 18 must be at their campsite by 10:00PM unless accompanied by a parent.

GROUP CAMPING:

PRPC has group sites that can accommodate up to 40 campers. Family sites are limited to 6 people per site. Gatherings of more than 6 people on the family sites are prohibited.

PETS ARE PROHIBITED:

For noise and sanitation reasons, pets are not allowed in the campground.

LITTER:

It is our desire never to see a single piece of litter hit the ground at PRPC. Please deposit all litter, including extinguished cigarette butts, immediately into the litter receptacle at your site. Keep your garbage, glass, aluminum cans, and foil out of the fire rings.

FIREWOOD:

To guard against tree-killing outbreaks of Emerald Ash Borer, Gypsy Moths, Dutch Elm Disease, etc, we do not allow guests to bring firewood in the PRPC Campground. Large bundles of seasoned dry firewood are available at the camp store for $5 per bundle. Campfires are allowed in fire pits only and must be attended to at all times. Large fires are prohibited. Charcoal burners and grills are not allowed on picnic tables.

SAWS, AXES, OR HATCHETS ARE NOT ALLOWED in the campground. Cutting, breaking off or defacing any branch, sapling, shrub or tree, dead or alive, is forbidden. Tent trenching is also prohibited.
